Augusta Food Bank (AFB) is a non-profit made up of volunteers and representatives from the community. The Food Bank provides a supplemental source of food to individuals and families in need that live in the towns of Augusta and Manchester.
Augusta Food Bank and SKCDC partner to educate families on the nutrition resources that are available to them, and ensuring that food resources are accessible, beyond their Head Start years.
This partnership ensures that mutual clients have support in ensuring food security,
- Facilitiating the Food Bank application process
- A designated pick-up time/day for Head Start enrolled families
- Support from the Family Services team in pick up/delivery of food for families experiencing transportation barriers.
